Design Communications: The 606
My Design Communications course at Northwestern focused on creating communications to promote The 606, a new, elevated walking/biking/running path in Chicago. I created a poster that encourages Chicagoans to take advantage of the opportunities that they have to enjoy the out of doors.
ImpactI came to Northwestern with very little knowledge of graphic design or the Adobe Creative Suite. I learned that in design, simpler is often better. This project helped me to build confidence in approaching the development of visual content. A woman from The 606 came to see our final posters printed in large 32" by 40" sheets. She loved the optimism of my design, and it was so rewarding to be praised for a design that I had put so much time and thought into.
